  1. A tip for how to format a blog post
    • Font and Sizing words, will depend on the theme
    • Body Text; make your body texting readable for all ages, even 45+ audiences
    • Heading, your heading should stand out from your text
    • Paragraphs, should never be longer than about 120-140 words
    • Bolding and italicizing, write conversational, italicize words are words one would lengthen when speaking. Ex: “It was the oddest thing”, only use bold on words you would speak louder and make pointy gestures about, ex: “It all come down to action”
    • Never use underline because it can be mistaken for a hyperlink
    • Post purposeful information with consistent frequency
    • Conversational tone helps the readers to connect. Invites more responses and build connections
    • Bloggers should always direct clients back to their website
    • It is important to build yourself as a brand

  2. Explain what a “hat tip” is
Have you ever seen a tweet beginning with ‘HT’ rather than the more frequently encountered ‘RT’ which stands for ‘retweet’ which is the same thing as forwarding on an email. You’re not alone. According to http://stwem.com/2011/06/16/what-does-ht-mean-on-twitter ‘HT‘is variously defined as either ‘Hat tip‘or ‘Heard through‘. Either way, the tag signifies who made you, the poster, aware of the content originally. ‘HT’ on a tweet is just as important as when one write a paper and uses someone else’s words. We have to give credit to the source we retrieved the information from to avoid plargism. “It’s important to always acknowledge the source of the content we redistribute. It is considered good netiquette when sharing a link or news item to give a hat tip to the person from whom you learned of the item.
